The Consolation Facility During WWII : The Korean worker's diary Was Found.

A handwritten diary written by the Korean who worked at a recreational facility in Burma Singapore during the WWII was found in Korea. This Korean man left the Korea peninsula, which was in the Japanese territory at the time, as a member of the fourth Japanese consolation division in 1942, and came back in the end of 1944. This is the first time to find the personal diary written by a member of the recreational facility. This is also important source for the dispute about the camp followers issue, so called Comfort Woman issue, because only uncertain speech was used to judge the issue.

A Korean modern-history professor found it at an used bookstore around the museum in the suburban area in Soul ten years ago. Now, Ikuo Hori, the professor of Kyoto University, and Mikio Kimura, the professor of Kobe University is ongoing to translate it in Japanese.

The diary was written by the Korean worker about that he worked at the recreational facility in  Burma and SIngapore between 1943 and 1944. It was written in mixed languages in Japanese and Korean.

The Korean man who was born in 19905 died in 1979.  He left his diary written between 1922 to 1957. Nevertheless, the part of his diary for 8 years including 1942 was not found.

The man mentioned on July 10th, 1943, "I made a step toward the South by the ship 2 years ago." He also wrote on April 6th, 1944, "When the consolation division left Busan 2 years ago, the leader of the division, Mr. Tumura, worked at the market place."

The U.S military document reported in November, 1945, by the U.S military who captured the businessman of the recreational facility in Burma and tortured him, reported that 703 female camp followers, so called comfort women, and 90 business man at the recreational facility sailed away from Busan on July 10th, 1942. The date of the departure was matched between the diary and the U.S military report.

The Korean professor pointed out, "According to the U.S military report, it is certain that it was written about the fourth Japanese consolation division. The recreational division was collected by a particular organization as a part of the Japanese military." However, he also mentioned about the issue of enforcement and abduction caused by the Japanese police and military often heard from the Korean, "The Japanese military did not need to enforce the Korean to work as the comfort women because the Korean local business organization in Korea collected them."

Translated Version of Japanese Vice Prime Minister's declaration on Jul 29, 2013

The following paragraph is declared by Tarou Aso, the vice Prime Minister and the Minister of Finance, on Jul 29th, 2013.

The present international relationship of Japan is totally different from the Japanese constitutional law [which was created in 1945.]  Although some particular groups scream out to keep the constitutional law by their ideology based on their peace, unchanging the law is completely wrong. Changing the law throughout ages is essential for national security and domestic stability. Indeed, [because] it is a single process [for the goal,] we should carefully decide to change it. And then we should skeptically change it in order to deal with the continuously unstable situation by thoughtful public voices. Otherwise we would be wrong with our decision.

For instance, Adoluf  Hitler made a terrible mistake although the past Nazi law, Weimarer Verfassung, was an well built, most advanced constitutional law at that time.

We should not make a political movement in confusion, particularly the topic about a constitutional law. For the same reason, we should calmly visit Yasukuni Shrine [without any annoying argument.]

Weimarer Verfassung was silently changed without noticing any change in the constitutional law [in the confusion during the war time.] No one recognized that silent change in the law. How come don't we learn from the mistake [that Hitler made]. I have no intention to refuse the democratic political decision making. Nevertheless, we should not decide in confusion.

The Significant Step For The Truth Of Camp Follower Issue

Propagandabuster, a Youtube uploader, is very respectful person for Japanese who think seriously of their patriotism as he keeps being by the Japanese side. A lot of his comment surely encourage those people who search for their national honer and pride both which were not taught in their youth ages.

He had a excellent field work to find the truth about an ongoing camp follower issue during the WWII. Mostly the Korean keep insulting against the Japanese in order to exploit the money from Japan. On his field work, he sent a copy of Japanese Prisoner of War Interrogation No. 49 to the National Archives. Lately the National Archives proved the report is the copy of the original post war document reported after the WWII.

According to him, the report proves several facts, such as...

  • The camp followers spontaneously entered the camp to be hired to service the Japanese soldiers as so-called comfort girls. In addition, the camp followers earn such a high payment.
  • They can afford to buy as many clothes as they want during the WWII [when many Japanese cannot even buy their food for their family.]
  • The camp followers were willing to work hard to earn the payment. [It shows that they are NOT forced to work by the Japanese military]
  • The camp followers enjoyed their life with the Japanese military, such as recreation and sport.
  • The camp followers could go back their country as soon as they finished paying back the debt.
  • Some girls were married with the Japanese military.

I would like to thank Tony Marano for giving us the significant step to show the prove to the world. As I am believing, the Japanese military have NEVER forced the women to work as the comfort women for their desire.

In May 2013, the Police Department of Osaka re-arrested the 31 years old Korean man, who had assaulted the two innocent Japanese on a road, for deadly stubbing one of them, Shuichi Kawaguchi, 61 years old newspaper delivery man. Prestowitz's blinded political, economic eyes in Asia

Clyde Prestowitz is probably widely well known an author writing about both economic and political situation in East Asia in U.S. He wrote very interesting articles, such as KISS (Kick It Simple Stupid) principle against Japan in "Make Japan buy the whole plane," and "Korea as Number One," on foreignpolicy.com. He recently added his new journal in this week, titled "No more Yasukuni Visits on my watch" without careful research of the political background like Peter Duus did many times. Although he seemed to talk about the Asia as if he had a neutral view of the foreign affair among East Asia region. He implies that he is clearly anti-Japanese as I introduced his articles about Japan and other East Asia country, particularly China and South Korea.

This man simply mentioned that Japan should be more useful for U.S and other East Asia as the economic slave for them. He recommended Barrack Obama to sell U.S old air crafts for only a economic reason based on his KISS principle than the stable security bond between U.S and Japan. He intentionally announced South Korea would overwhelm Japan in technology and economy after 2012. In addition, he unskeptically suggested to Japan that Japan should stop visiting to Yasukuni shrine as only two opposing neighboring countries, particularly China and South Korea, claim about it. In his newest article, he added some other countries around the Pacific Ocean without his background research.

Multinational dispute over yasukuni should be eliminated because it is rather domestic, spiritual issue in Japan than political issues in other unrelated countries. The dispute over the enshrined former war soldiers during WWII should only be allowed for the Japanese to decide their visitation or not. In addition, according to the Japanese article written by Doak in Sankei Newspaper, It is like a stupid story to consider the country as Militarism because a Prime Minister visits a particular shrine [which enshrines a former war soldiers who fought for their nations in the past.] The countries which want to call Yasukuni shrine as an evil temple should research a suitable reason to prove their opinions. It only a excuse for China [and Koreas] to hypocritically conclude Yasukuni shrine as a war symbol of Militarism, [or Nazism] (Doak, Sankei-news) .

Moreover, here is a fact that Pretowitz is blind at his view of the recent economic situation among East Asia. Henry Sender, the chief international financial correspondent of Financial Times, announced that the Korea's economic situation has been worsened since 2012. According to Sender:

"In most places in the world, companies and households have been reducing their debt burden. But in South Korea, leverage still remains too high. ...In the second half of last year, four of the top 12 [Korean corporate faction] groups were unable to cover their interest payments from operating profit. ...Now worries are growing about the health of the banking system. Many savings banks have already gone bust and in recent months, regulators have forced more than two dozen to suspend operations. But today the major banks are also seeing signs of pressure. Net interest margins have dropped while non-performing loans have been inching up, hitting earnings which are expected to decline at double-digit rates in coming quarters. Officially defaults on loans to companies last year rose to 2 per cent for the first time since 2003."
"But seven major banks established a sort of bad bank several years ago, which they capitalised with their own equity, allowing it to buy up some of their bad loans." (Sender H.)

In short, the Korean bank system is not financially healthy at all.

I highly wonder why Prestowiz pushed the Americans to take a close look at the Korean Market as their frontier of the next market place. The financial system in South Korea is malfunctioned as well as its politically dysfunctional interrelationship with its alliances, U.S and Japan. Furthermore, Prestowiz should not intervene with the dispute over the Japanese's visit of Yasukuni Shrine in the political manner if he is intelligent enough to understand the respect for other cultures and spiritual prospects.

The Korean culturally psychopathic personality by pretending to be the Japanese

I believe people can share the different cultural values if they respect each other. However, unfortunately, Japan has the neighbor whose every nation has culturally psychopathic personality, Korea.Their personality focuses on insulting, aggressively attacking, and harshly discriminating the Japanese in order to keep getting the money from Japan by threatening it in megalomaniac ways.

Nowadays, the North Korea and South Korea are ready to fight throughout their coward cold war more than half century. The United State has been bravely standing in between them for the peace in the East Asia region. Unfortunately, one of the U.S city, Boston, was attacked by the suspicious bombs on April 16, 2013.

A hour later of the sad incident, the Korean posted his video on youtube titled, "I celebrate the terror of Boston." He introduce himself as the Japanese, devilishly celebrate the terror attack in Boston, and claimed against the U.S military to leave the U.S navy base in Okinawa on his youtube video. The pictures that I uploaded above tells that he is the Korean who is always against the Japanese, discriminate them, and wish them to be terminated as the Korean. In fact, he pretended to be the Japanese to manipulate many other nations to misunderstand what the Japanese cultural perspective.

I should say in a harsh way that all the Korean are nationally retarded. I strongly wonder why the Japanese government still want to keep the international relationship with this psychopathically megalomaniac country.

Japan doen't deserve bad reputation, according to Stanford Professor of Asian History

This is a translated article to English from a personal blog originally posted on blogos.com. The detailed information is posted in reference, and strongly recommended to read them for further study on the history during the World War II.

Japan well control over the history without agitation of war and patriotism: The historical disputes over the past great war among the countries possibly remain the conflictive tension of the international relationship in the East Asia region. The Shorenstein Asia-Pacific Research Center at Stanford University examined the comparative roles of high school history textbooks among Japan, China, South Korea, United State and Taiwan, and it concluded that the japanese history textbook is the most disciplined among them without admiring wars. The major members of the research center, Peter Duus and Daniel C. Sneider, reported their consequence and objectives of the research.

Japanese textbook: The Japanese textbook is the least contained of the patriotism and encouragement for a war. The textbook well describes the Seno-Japanese war based on the historical facts. It also concludes that political leaders and the military forces at the war time was the most responsible for the war. The Japanese textbook is well-balanced description based on the facts and dispassion.

Korean textbook: The Korean textbook focuses on its nationalism. It describes the detailed incidents about the koreans. It less describes other foreign facts such as the war in China.  Korea is only indifferent in the foreign histories. It is only interested in insisting themselves as the war victims caused by Japan. [Duus] was surprised at, for instance, that the Korean textbook has no description about the nuclear attack on Nagasaki and Hiroshima. Therefore, Korea clearly considers the history as its self-sentered sufficient tool.

United States textbook: The United States textbook describes only a few incidents about the Japan-China war. It also intentionally focuses rather on the war relationship between U.S and Europe than the relationship between U.S and Asia. It has many  description about Nuremberg trials, but Tokyo trails.

Chinese textbook: In the academically historical view of the research, Chinese textbook has many problems in education. It is rather simply a propagandizing tool [than an educational textbook.] The Chinese Communist Party with the full of its ideology uses the textbook for its political purpose. It neither contained describes about the Pacific War nor the nuclear attack on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Although China revised the textbook in 2004, it inflame the nation the patriotism and emphasize the anti-Japan war in their view after the revision. The revised textbook increases their war victorious stories of anti-Japan war instead it excludes the national conflict in China. It adds many description about atrocities caused by the Japanese forces during the WWII, including the Nanking incident.

Taiwan textbook: During under the rule of the Chinese Nationalist Party, The old Taiwanese textbook only contained the dynastic history of China. But the new textbook focuses rather on the Taiwanese national view and its history than the Chinese history. Both China and Taiwan less emphasize the national conflict for different reasons in their views. The new Taiwanese textbook excludes dynamically the Nanking incident and less describes about the Sino-Japanese war. It analyzes the annexation of Taiwan by Japan with detailed factual research of both the inter-political relationship between Taiwan and Japan, and the atrocity there caused by Japanese force during the war time.
